Hello there! Today’s post is going to be all about New York City. Although I’ve only been there once, I’ve always had so much for that place. I definitely want to go visit again. Anyways, here’s a list of some famous tourists places that are definitely worth a visit in New York City!
Central Park is an urban park in Manhattan, New York City. Central Park is the most visited urban park in the United States, with 40 million visitors in 2013, and one of the most filmed locations in the world.
Empire State Building
The Empire State Building is a 102-story skyscraper located on Fifth Avenue between West 33rd and 34th Streets in Midtown, Manhattan, New York City. It has a roof height of 1,250 feet and with its antenna spire included, it stands a total of 1,454 feet high. Its name is derived from the nickname for New York, the Empire State. It stood as the world’s tallest building for nearly 40 years.
Brightly adorned with billboards and advertisements, Times Square is sometimes referred to as The Crossroads of the World. One of the world’s busiest pedestrian intersections, it is also the hub of the Broadway Theater District and a major center of the world’s entertainment industry. Times Square is one of the world’s most visited tourist attractions, drawing an estimated 50 million visitors annually. Approximately 330,000 people pass through Times Square daily, many of them tourists, while over 460,000 pedestrians walk through Times Square on its busiest days.
Madison Square Garden
Madison Square Garden is a multi-purpose indoor arena in the New York City borough of Manhattan. Located in Midtown Manhattan between 7th and 8th Avenues from 31st to 33rd Streets, it is situated atop Pennsylvania Station. The Garden is used for professional basketball and ice hockey, as well as boxing, concerts, ice shows, circuses, professional wrestling and other forms of sports and entertainment.
Statue of Liberty
The Statue of Liberty is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor in New York City, in the United States. The copper statue, designed by a French sculptor and dedicated on October 28, 1886. It was a gift to the United States from the people of France. The statue is of a robed female figure representing Libertas, who bears a torch and a tabula ansata which infers to the date of the American Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776. The statue is an icon of freedom and of the United States, and was a welcoming sight to immigrants arriving from abroad.
